Marty Clubb is Managing Winemaker and oversees all the vineyard management and production planning. He has directed all winemaking since 1989. Mike Sharon was named Winemaker in 2006 and directs all day-to-day production and winemaking. Mike joined L’Ecole in 1996 after working at Canoe Ridge Vineyard. The wine team includes Jeff Briggs and Bill Mansker as Assistant Winemakers and Chris Duncan as Cellar Master. During harvest, Marty takes the lead in the vineyard while Mike takes the lead at the winery.
The 60 year combined experience of our winemaking team helps us micro-manage 90 different vineyard lots from 30 vineyard sites for an annual harvest of approximately 550 tons of grapes. Rigorous attention to detail and state of the art enological practices keep quality at the forefront of every decision. We share a commitment to quality and excellence in all aspects of our winemaking, from vineyard to bottle.
